2024부산비엔날레는 《어둠에서 보기(Seeing in the Dark)》를 주제로 부산현대미술관과 부산근현대역사관, 한성1918, 초량재에서 펼쳐졌습니다.

어둠에서 본다는 것은 무엇을 뜻할까요? ‘어둠’은 우리가 처한 곤경을 일컫습니다. 어둠은 이미 알려진 곳이면서도 알 수 없는 장소를 항해하는 두려움이라고도 볼 수 있습니다. 하지만 우리는 이 어둠을 쫓아내는 대신, 어둠의 깊이야 말로 포용적인 대안을 제시하는 것으로 바라보고자 합니다.

Busan Biennale 2024, Seeing in the Dark

The 2024 Busan Biennale, themed "Seeing in the Dark," will take place at the Busan Museum of Contemporary Art, the Busan Modern History Museum, Hansung 1918, and Choryangje.

"Seeing in the dark" signifies our experience in times of difficulty, with "darkness" symbolizing both familiar yet uncharted spaces that evoke fear as we navigate through them. However, rather than dispelling this darkness, we aim to embrace its depth as a space that can offer inclusive alternatives.
